The honest Salesforce alternative for small teams

Lyto is a Salesforce alternative for teams of one to ten people who want a CRM they can run without an admin or a consultant. Lyto Pipeline is a deliberately simple CRM inside one suite with helpdesk, invoicing, tasks and time tracking, at €13 per seat per month — €10 billed annually. Salesforce Starter Suite is $25 per user per month and Pro Suite is $100, before the add-ons and setup that its power assumes (July 2026). Lyto is the smaller, simpler choice — not a feature-for-feature match.

Why would a small team look past Salesforce?

Salesforce is the most powerful CRM on the market, and that is exactly why it is often the wrong fit for a team of five. Its strength is configurability — the platform can model almost any sales process on earth — but that power arrives as a cost: someone has to configure it, maintain it, and usually be trained or certified to do so. For a small company, the CRM becomes a project instead of a tool, and the “$25 Starter” headline quietly becomes a $100 Pro Suite plus add-ons plus implementation before it does what you hoped.

We want to be honest about the trade. Lyto does not have Salesforce’s depth and is not trying to. What it has is everything a one-to-ten-person team actually uses, ready on day one, for a fraction of the price.

How is Lyto Pipeline different?

Pipeline is the CRM inside the Lyto suite, built for the small end of the market Salesforce grew away from:

  • One pipeline, sensible defaults. No admin, no configuration marathon — import your contacts and start today.
  • Status is derived, not declared. Attach a live deal and a lead becomes a prospect; win it and they become a customer automatically.
  • The whole business in one login. Invoicing, helpdesk, tasks, time tracking and reporting sit beside the CRM, sharing one customer record.
  • AI that assists, not overwhelms. Relationship summaries and drafted follow-ups on the Grow plan, billed against one org-wide top-up balance.

Where is Salesforce still the better pick?

If you run a large or fast-scaling sales organisation, need deep forecasting, territory and quota management, or already live inside the AppExchange ecosystem, Salesforce earns its price. The capability gap between it and Lyto is genuinely enormous, and we would rather point you there than oversell a simple tool. Lyto wins on being small, simple and cheap for small, simple teams — not on matching an enterprise platform feature for feature.

What does the suite change day to day?

Win a deal in Pipeline and the customer already exists in Sum when you invoice them, in Solve when they email support, in Tally when you track billable hours. One login, one shared record, one flat bill — the opposite of stitching clouds and add-ons together and paying an admin to keep them talking.

Questions people ask about switching

Can Lyto do everything Salesforce does?

No — and we will not pretend otherwise. Salesforce is one of the deepest, most configurable platforms in software, and for large sales organisations that depth is the point. Lyto Pipeline is deliberately the smaller, simpler CRM for one-to-ten-person teams: one pipeline, derived status, and the rest of the business — invoicing, support, time — in the same suite. If you need territory management, complex forecasting or a team of admins, Salesforce is the right tool. If you need to close deals and get paid without running a platform, Lyto is.

Do I need a consultant to set up Lyto like I would for Salesforce?

No. That is much of the point. Lyto ships with sensible defaults, one kanban pipeline and CSV import, so a small team is running the same day they sign up. There is no implementation project, no admin certification and no partner invoice. Salesforce's flexibility is real, but it assumes someone to configure and maintain it — a cost small teams often forget to count.

What does a 5-person sales team pay on Lyto versus Salesforce?

Five seats on Lyto Seed are €65 per month, or €50 billed annually, and that covers Pipeline plus the other six apps. Five users on Salesforce Pro Suite are $500 per month for the CRM alone, before any add-ons. Even Salesforce's Starter Suite at $25 per user is $125 per month for CRM-only functionality against Lyto's whole suite.
